Alloy Framework
Atomik
CLIFramework
Drupal
KohanaPHP
Lion
MODx
Technocorp Framework (bose)
Yii

These are the list of interesting additions that were mentioned in this blog. If a framework was designed from the ground up for distributed computing in an extended enterprise, it is decent, and simplifies coding, then it is highly unlikely that developers will want to code in another one.

Check out Alloy Framework - it's much higher quality than some of the other options in this list. It is a PHP 5.3+ Hierarchical MVC framework with a modular file organization.

Try getting your hands on the business framework with the bose acronym.

We are betting that the mass business movement from a single complex UI application system (in the 90s) to the forms-posting-multi-paging system (last decade) will complete a "cycle" as businesses are able to move back to the single complex UI model. This means that PHP, free from the burden of UI forms-generation, will grow in stature as a dedicated server-side engine for client-server interactions.

The UIs for applications in the business system will be 100% Javascript generated, in browsers or applets (not necessarily Java) running in personal computing devices. Note the possible additional benefits to PHP in eliminating the generation of these UIs on the server side.

At the moment, there appears to be no momentum for a full blown business system in flash (or similar technologies). However, designers will still want an HTML canvas area that developers can wrap with Javascript.
